A mother from Derbyshire who was accepted to take part in Miss England has now been rejected, because she has a daughter.
Danielle Tyler wrote on her application for the beauty pageant that her greatest achievement in life is her three-year-old but says just weeks later organisers informed her it is against their policy to accept entrants who have children.
The 23-year-old, who is a full-time mother to Annelise says the rule is outdated.
ITV Central have approached the organisers of the 86-year-old Miss England competition but they have yet to respond.
Danielle says she will instead compete in beauty pageants which do allow mums to enter.
She has already qualified for the Miss Midlands final of Miss Great Britain.
