After a damp night it was a lovely start in my neck of the woods, with denim blue skies and plenty of sun. We'll be holding on to mainly fine conditions today but there's a fresh westerly breeze blowing so it's feeling relatively cool.
Obviously this is a change from the recent unseasonally warm weather of last week but bearing in mind it's nearly mid-September we're not doing too badly.
The signs remain good for the weekend too so we should be counting ourselves lucky, especially bearing in mind that at this time of year ex-hurricanes out in the Atlantic can have a serious impact on things here.
In the main it'll be staying dry across London and the Southeast for the next few days with tomorrow proving the exception as a band of light rain works its way across the region during the afternoon. Other than that we can afford to be positive and optimistic.
Best foot forward, then....
