Pensioner with Alzheimer's left for dead in her own home after burglars stamp on her face

An 83-year-old pensioner with Alzheimer's was left for dead after burglars burst into her home and subjected her to a terrifying ordeal in east London.

Zallu Hassan was found laying in a pool of blood at her home near Ilford suffering from a broken cheekbone and a fractured eye socket.

Police say the property had been ransacked, but her family is unsure if anything was stolen.

Zallu's daughter, Tulay Ahmadi, called police after finding her mother covered in blood at the property in Gants Hill on March 9.

Speaking to London 24 Tulay Ahmadi said:

A £10,000 reward is on offer for information which leads to an arrest or conviction.
