Bake Off Winner Jasmine's Cheesy Christmas Tree

Ingredients

- 2 sheets of puff pastry (640g in total)- 200g Caramelised red onion chutney- 100g Gruyère cheese, grated- 100g Comté cheese, grated- 1 tbs fresh rosemary, finely chopped- 1 egg- 1 tbsp Caramelised nuts, roughly chopped- 1 tsp Pomegranate seeds, excess juice dried off

Method

1. Pre-heat oven at 180c2. Lay a sheet of puff pastry on the baking paper.3. Cover it with the caramelised red onion chutney4. Sprinkle over the grated cheese and chopped rosemary5. Place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press down lightly all over6. Cut the pastry into a large Christmas tree shape7. Cut horizontal strips along both sides of the tree, leaving the centre “trunk” attached.9. Twist each strip several times to form the tree branches.10. Use the off cuts to make little puff pastry star11. Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the entire tree and star with egg wash.12. Place onto a baking sheet and bake for 25 mins or until golden.
