Shaun Wilson-Miller's 'Final Goodbye' video has been watched 1.4 million times.

The 17-year-old Australian's heartbreaking film was originally intended just to tell his friends that he was dying of chronic heart rejection.

But a Facebook glitch meant he uploaded the video to YouTube instead, where it received an outpouring of support from internet users across the world touched by his positivity.

Australia became so fond of the Melbourne teenager that he was soon invited to meet Jobe Watson, his football hero, and to appear on Neighbours.

Struggling to hold back his tears in the video, Shaun says:

"What I want to say is that this has been an awesome ride and I have no regrets.

"Live life to the fullest because you never know what's going to happen.

"I just want to thank all my family and friends who have been in my life. Please don't cry for me. I will be ok.

"I do ask all my friends to make sure my dad will be ok. I will miss you guys so much. I love you all.

"I hope I left footprints in all of your hearts because I'm going to miss you all and I love you dearly.

"Bye. Love from Shaun. See ya."

One YouTube commenter wrote:

"Your [sic] an inspiration? to the world little man. One life can unite millions, and you did it. Your a legend. Much love from the United States."

Shaun also revealed that he has fallen in love with another heart patient.

"I know this is bad news but good news came as well. I have a girlfriend now call Maddie, and I'm so happy at the moment - nothing can bring me down," he says in the video.

He told Australia's Herald Sun: "The hardest thing for me is leaving her, knowing that I won't get to marry her."
