John Whaite on GBBO move to Channel 4

I'm just disappointed it didn't come to ITV because you and me could have presented it Lorraine.

John Whaite on Bake Off's move to Channel 4

The BBC's hugely popular The Great British Bake Off is moving to Channel 4, but will its judges and presenters be whisked away with it and could the shift spell the end of Bake Off as we know it?

Former Bake Off winner and resident Lorraine chef John Whaite, who won the third series in 2012, said the loss of Mary Berry and fellow judge Paul Hollywood, and presenters Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, could drastically change the face of the much-loved show.

"They need Mary, they need Paul, they need Mel and Sue," John told Lorraine. "I just hope the judges and presenters don't jump ship because if they leave Bake Off it would be a different show all together..."

The show is set to take up its new residence from next series, but it is not yet known whether the judges will also switch channels.

Watch the video above to find out what he had to say about the move and the future of the show!
