Woman seriously hurt in dog attack as two XL Bullys seized by Staffordshire Police

A woman has been left with a serious injury after being bitten by two dogs - believed to be an XL Bully and an XL Bully-cross.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment, a spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said.

Police were called to Allport Road near to the Citizens Advice Bureau in Cannock just before 1pm on Thursday 27 February.

No one was arrested following the incident - but the dogs were seized as officers continue to investigate what happened.

The force said: "We are investigating after a woman received a serious injury after being bitten by two dogs in Cannock."

Staffordshire Police added: "We were called at 12.50pm this afternoon (Thursday 27 February) to Allport Road to reports that a woman had been attacked by two dogs – believed to be an XL Bully and an XL Bully cross – near to the Citizens Advice Bureau.

"The woman has been taken to hospital. No-one has been arrested.

"The dogs’ owner has agreed for the dogs to be seized as we investigate.
