Full report on country house fire
A 17th century country house in the Forest of Dean has been devastated by fire.
It broke out late last night (Mon) at Newland House near Coleford. The house has been almost completely destroyed.

The country house has been severely damaged after the fire burned throughout the night.

Country house damaged after fire
Newland House in Coleford in the Forest of Dean has sustained serious damage following a large fire last night.
It took 47 fire fighters working throughout the night to put out the fire out.
More than 40 fire fighters needed to put out fire
It took 47 fire fighters using breathing apparatus and 6 fire engines to put out a fire at Newland House in the Forest of Dean last night.
The cause of the fire has yet to be identified.

Fire at 17th Century country house
Firefighters have worked through the night after a country house caught fire in a village in the Forest of Dean. Residents of Newland spotted flames coming out of the roof of the 17th century Newland House at about 9.30 pm. The new owners were not at home at the time as Ken Goodwin reports

Reports are coming in of a large fire in the Forest of Dean. A manor house at Newland near Coleford is said to be well alight. Fire engines from two counties are at the scene. It's believed the property is unoccupied.
