Tell Me Everything Series 2

TME S2

Provocative teen drama, Tell Me Everything is set to return to ITV2 and ITVX for its second season on 6th June.

As part of a two series deal with ITV, Tell Me Everything is currently in production for its second series, produced by Noho Film and Television in association with ITV Studios and created by Mark O’Sullivan.

Rooted in truthful observations about life growing up in the 2020s, the show highlights some of the very specific challenges faced by this generation, and the related effects on their mental health.

Picking up where the series left off in series 1, we discover that Jonny and his family have moved to Hitchin – a new house, new college, and a fresh start. Jonny is continuing his journey of recovery, and has started to make friends with other students at college - Naisha, Dylan, Ella and Bex. Ella is impulsive, often putting herself in dangerous situations. Naisha is newly single, and although she claims to be happy about this, she’s often the third wheel to best-friend Dylan and his boyfriend Tommy. Dylan has spent several years of his life in care and he is staying at best friend Naisha’s, despite hating the feeling of being the charity case that this gives him. And Bex, who is also new to Jonny’s college, is unsure of herself around this new gang. Together, they face the highs and lows, trials and tribulations of teenage life at Hitchin college.

Eden. H Davies (Tell Me Everything S1) returns to the role of Jonny Murphy. Joining him for series 2 are Nethra Tilakumara (Flatmates, Our Girl) who plays Naisha, George Hawkins (Boiling Point) who plays Dylan, Sophie Ablett (Doctor Who) who plays Ella, Daisy Jacob (Everything I Know About Love) who plays Bex, Levi Mattey (The Tattooist of Auschwitz) who plays Josh, Ammar Duffus (Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince) who plays Luke, and Dylan Brady (The Diplomat) who plays Tommy.

The six-part drama is expected to air on ITV2 and ITVX next year. The series has been commissioned for ITVX by Head of Drama, Polly Hill and Drama Commissioner, Huw Kennair Jones. Huw will oversee production of the series on behalf of ITV.

Noho Film & Television's Camilla Campbell and Robert Wulff-Cochrane will executive produce Tell Me Everything alongside Mark O'Sullivan and Rob Fraser. The series will be produced by Rosemary McGowan (Sandylands, Good Karma Hospital) and co-produced by David Wade (Criminal Record, The Gallows Pole).

Tell Me Everything will be directed by Richard Senior (The Buccaneers, McDonald and Dodds) and Ruth Carney (Brassic, Death In Paradise). Writers are Rob Fraser (Episodes 1, 2, and 6), Maja Bodenstein (Episode 1), Mark O'Sullivan (Episode 3), Kat Sadler and Cameron Loxdale (Episode 4) and Katie Douglas (Episode 5).

Commented Huw Kennair-Jones:

“We’re delighted to be bringing back Tell Me Everything to screens next year and exploring more adventures in navigating what it's like to grow up in Britain in the 2020's. It's great to be working with Noho and the team again on what promises to be a brilliant series for the ITV and ITVX audiences.”

Commented Executive Producers Robert Wulff-Cochrane and Camilla Campbell on behalf of Noho:

“In Tell Me Everything Series 1 we fell in love with the story of a gang of teenagers, growing up in contemporary British suburbia, with outwardly ordinary lives, but internally dealing with love and loss, hope and despair as they navigate the anxiety and depression that is unique to this generation. Series 2 introduces a new town and a new group of friends, while continuing to blend comedy with pain, and the intensely personal with the universal experiences of being a teenager. Alongside Eden Davies, we have a fantastic new cast of fresh faces and the promise of more unmissable viewing.”

Commented screenwriter Mark O’Sullivan:

“Returning to the world of Tell Me Everything for series 2 feels utterly surreal. The show is so close to my heart - I hope audiences will connect with the characters at the heart of this story, and take some comfort in knowing they are not alone, even when going through the toughest of times.”

ITV Studios is the international distributor of Tell Me Everything.
