Weather Explorers: What is the Jet Stream?

Jet streams are fast moving streams of air high up in the atmosphere about the height an aeroplane travels. They are thousands of miles long and can be a few hundred miles wide driving weather systems around the world.

ITV Weather Presenter Aisling Creevey explains more about jet streams and how they affect the weather here in the UK.
