ITVX continue record-breaking year with ITVX’s strongest August performance since launch

ITVX has delivered another month of sustained growth, securing its biggest August to date, with streams up 9% year-on-year. The performance builds on consecutive monthly growth across 2026, marking a record-breaking year to date for ITV’s streaming platform.

The strong August totals were driven by broad audience demand across all content categories, with significant double-digit gains in Film, Factual, and Soaps.

Drama continued to perform exceptionally well, driving the biggest viewing volumes, led by the return of Trigger Point. Despite landing in the final days of the month, the high-stakes thriller instantly captured viewers, becoming the most watched series on the platform for August after just two days on the service. Van Der Valk, The Dark and Professor T followed as the next highest-ranking Drama titles.

The Only Way is Essex, Olivia Attwood: The Price of Perfection and The Princess Diaries topped the Reality charts for August, all posting streaming growth on their previous series. 

The Voice UK is the number one entertainment title in terms of streams in August, with The Staircase becoming August’s most watched acquisition, and Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone as the most watched film.
