The M1 Southbound is closed between J22 and J21a for repair work after a four vehicle collision and a fire overnight.
M1 Southbound closed for emergency repair after accident
The M1 is closed Southbound between J22 A50 / A511 (Coalville) and J21A A46 (Leicester North / Kirby Muxloe) due to resurfacing work after an earlier accident involving two vehicles.
Resurfacing is expected to be ongoing throughout the morning peak period.
Highways England are advising of this diversion: "Exit at J22 take the A50 southbound. At the A50/A46 interchange take the 4th exit onto A46 southbound to re-join M1 at J21A."
