An explosive ordnance disposal team from Dyfed Powys Police attended the incident on Long Row, Felinfoel, after an item was discovered.

Residents on both Long Row and Adulam Row have been evacuated and closed to traffic as investigations of the package get underway.

Police said Timothy Howells, 54, provided a breath test reading four times over the limit on the morning he was picking up a pupil for a lesson.
