Newcastle Utd veteran Ken Hale dies aged 75

Ken Hale started at Newcastle aged 17 and was also manager at Hartlepool Credit: Hartlepool Utd

The former Newcastle United striker Ken Hale has died, at the the age of 75.

He was born in Blyth, and joined Newcastle as a teenager.

He later signed for Darlington, where he was player-manager in the early Seventies, before managing Hartlepool.
