Police 'very concerned' for missing 9-week-old baby
Police say they're 'very concerned' for the welfare of a 9-week-old baby who was taken overnight from her mother's home in Walsall.
It's believed Lana Mai Bates was taken by her father Stuart Adams from Prince Street, Pleck at 2:20am.
Chief Inspector Sue Parker, from Walsall Police, is urging people with information to come forward. She said:
"We are very concerned for Lana-Mai’s welfare as she is so young and we understand her departure from the family home was not planned. "Stuart did take some formula and bottles but we are concerned that she has not got clothes and other essential items that such a young baby requires.
"We know that Stuart had been drinking earlier in the night and that also gives us cause for concern. "We urge anyone who knows of their whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible so we can reunite Lana-Mai with her concerned mother and make sure that she is safe and well."
