Postal strikes to hit Bridgwater

Postal workers at the Royal Mail depot in Friarn Street Bridgwater have voted for strike action in a ballot. The result was 65 in favour and 17 against. Managers have been accused of bullying and breaking working agreements.

This vote for strike action shows that feelings are running high in the depot.

Additionally postal workers believe they are each owed £800 each for changes that have already been implemented in the workplace. A meeting will be held on Thursday (13 June) to decide when the strike will take place.
