A climber has died in the popular walking spot of Scafell in Cumbria. Police say the man, who was walking with a companion fell around 600 feet on Lord Rake's Traverse after slipping on frozen snow and ice.

Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team are advising walkers to take extra care when climbing in poor weather conditions, after a man fell to his death on Scafell mountain on Monday (December 10th).
