A man has died following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on the A684 near Sedbergh this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the A684 at 1.40pm today where the motorcyclist - a 48-year-old man from Grange-over-Sands - died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a Hyundai Amica, was a man in his seventies and was not injured.
An investigation into the circumstances of the collision will now be carried out by police.
Diversions remain in place and motorists are being asked to continue to avoid the area at this time.
