Five new gentoo penguins have gone on display at The Deep in Hull for the first time. A class of schoolchildren were some of the first to see the new exhibit.
The first five gentoo penguins have moved into their new home at The Deep in Hull, the culmination of around three years of preparation. Curator Katy Duke has been part of the team designing their new enclosure and says she is pleased to see the birds using all its different areas as they hoped.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
