Chines shines as Carrick beat Glentoran

Miguel Chines proved the difference as Carrick Rangers earned a 1-0 win over Glentoran at the Oval.

The Portuguese player popped up with the only goal of the game to seal a first win of the campaign for Kieran Harding’s side.

Chines finished from close range after good work by Brian McCaul to spring the offside trap.

Carrick move up to ninth courtesy of their victory, while Glentoran move down to eighth.
