A bitter year-long row between Notts County Football Club and the man who used to run its youth programme has been resolved just before the case was due to go to an employment tribunal.

Mick Leonard, who's a former Magpies goalkeeper, was sacked in June last year as Academy Manager for alleged gross misconduct. He appealed, but the two sides were able to reach an out of court settlement.

The sum involved hasn't been disclosed. Mr Leonard has always strenuously denied any wrongdoing. The club has declined to make any comment.
