Nine-vehicle crash on Redcar road
Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on Teesside.
The crash happened on the A174 towards Redcar during rush hour and involved several cars, a bus and a lorry.
The road has been closed near to the A19 all morning, causing severe delays, and has now reopened.
Driver trapped in nine-vehicle pile up
A driver was left trapped between a lorry and a bus in a nine-vehicle pile up which brought traffic to a standstill.
The crash on the A174 eastbound towards Redcar, Cleveland happened at around 7.10am.
A Ford Focus was trapped between an Arriva bus, which was not carrying any passengers, and a HGV.
Fire crews worked to free the male driver of the Focus. He was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough along with the bus driver.
Police said their injuries are not thought to be serious.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area while the queuing traffic clears.
