Hacked Off: Party leaders agree 'need for change' in press regulation

Members of the Hacked Off campaign group including Chris Jefferies, Dr Evan Harris, Kate McCann and lawyer Mark Lewis.

The Hacked Off campaign group met David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg today and said all three leaders recognised the "vital need for radical change" in the way the press is regulated.

Christopher Jefferies, a press abuse victim, said that all three party leaders agreed that the "status quo cannot be allowed to continue" and that self-regulation has failed.
